Members of Sidmouth Tennis Club enjoyed competitive yet friendly matches in a triples tournament hosted by coach Sue Wiltshire. Along with tennis, the members came together to raise money for the charity Versus Arthritis.

Alex and Will Dove (son of member Mel Dove) are running the London Marathon on October 2 this year. Alex lives his life alongside psoriatic rheumatoid arthritis, just like his father, Peter.

Diagnosed in 2018, Alex underwent two operations and tried various medications and therapies before being prescribed a literally life-changing “biologic” – an injectable medication that treats his condition at the root. He is not entirely pain free, but his symptoms are minimized so he can continue with his life and work, even when resuming sport.

Following the tennis event, £244 has been raised so far for this worthy cause, with further donations pledged.
