The Murray State Football team is playing its 98th season in 2022 and its 50th at Roy Stewart Stadium
The Murray State Racers are set to play their 50th season at historic Roy Stewart Stadium in 2022 and single-game tickets are on sale now.
Runners 98e The college football season will be an amazing time as the team plays its final season in the Ohio Valley Conference before joining the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 2023.
The home season consists of five games with the first against Jacksonville State (Sept. 10) at 6 p.m. MSU Family Weekend finds the Racers hosting Eastern Illinois (Sept. 24) at 4 p.m. UT Martin visits Stewart Stadium (Oct. 8) for a game at 2 p.m. Homecoming finds the Racers taking on the Tennessee State Tigers (Oct. 29) at 2 p.m. with Robert Morris making his first visit to Murray State (Nov. 12) in a 1 p.m. game on the weekend of the MSU Hall of Fame.
Racer Football’s “Kids Free” promotion returns for its fourth season. Every child from birth to college age will again enjoy free admission to every home game, making Racer Football one of the region’s best entertainment values year after year.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at (270) 809-3000 or by visiting the box office in lower concourse “A” of the CFSB Center. The Murray State box office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Online ticket purchases are available at GoRacers.com.

Race Football Mini Ticket Plan
Three-game race football mini-packages are also available for purchase. The package includes a general admission ticket to the home opener against Jacksonville State (September 10), Eastern Illinois (September 24) and Robert Morris (November 12). The home opening will be an evening to remember as we “Light Up the Stew” and give away 3,000 blue and gold LED glow sticks presented by CFSB. The Racers return home two weeks later for the ever-popular “Family Weekend”, and end the season at home with Hall of Fame and Military Day. Each purchase of a 3-game mini-plan will also include a general admission ticket to a Racers home basketball game at CFSB Center during the 2022-23 season.
RV Racer Set (North Endzone RV Zone)
Includes your own reserved RV space, 12 general admission season passes, and 30 amp service. Fans have the option of tailgating in the Stewart Stadium parking lot or from within the walls of Stewart Stadium itself just beyond the north end zone.
2022 Hall of Fame Dinner and Program
The annual Hall of Fame dinner will take place on the evening of November 11 at the CFSB Center. The Class of 2022 will also be recognized on Nov. 12 in the Racer football game against Robert Morris (1 p.m. kickoff) and a men’s basketball game against a yet-to-be-determined opponent. Hall of Fame dinner tickets can be purchased through the MSU online box office at GoRacers.com.

Located in Murray, Kentucky, the Murray State University Department of Athletics is a member of NCAA Division I and plays in the football championship subdivision. The Racers have 15 programs including men’s teams for baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer and golf and women’s teams for basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis , track and field and volleyball, as well as a mixed rifle team. . The Racers became a member of the Missouri Valley Conference on July 1, 2022. The Racers will become a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 2023.
