Pakistan’s Independence Day tennis tournament starts today – Latest News – The Nation


LAHORE – Pakistan Independence Day Girls and Boys Tennis Tournament 2022 will start today (Wednesday) at Karachi Club.
According to the announcement of the Organizing Secretary of the event, Syed Mansoor Ali Zaidi, Sindh Chief Secretary Dr. Suhail Rajput is expected to inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest. The tournament will be organized for girls and boys of different ages and senior categories. The tournament final will be played on August 27 at 7:30 p.m.
A meeting of the organizing committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner General Abid Qamar Shaikh regarding the opening ceremony of the tennis tournament and holding the tournament in a forward-thinking manner. The meeting was attended by Muhammad Imran Razzaq, Usman Ghani and Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Sports Coordinator of Karachi Club. Tournament arrangements were also finalized during the meeting.
According to the organizing committee, under the guidance of Karachi Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon, all participants will enjoy the best facilities during the tournament, which is organized to celebrate Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day with great zeal and fervor. Apart from glittering trophies, cash prizes of Rs 100,000 will be awarded to the winners of the different age categories.
