Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offer four new games between the various libraries available on consoles and PC. Unfortunately, none of the four games are truly standout, and one, in fact, may be one of the worst additions to date. Of course, video game reviews are subjective, but platforms like Metacritic provide the closest we have to an objective opinion on video games through the aggregation of critical and user reviews. To that end, one of the four aforementioned games currently boasts Metacritic scores ranging from 57 to 59, depending on the platform, making it one of the lowest-rated games ever added to the subscription service. Why is it added then? Well, it fills a very specific niche.
The game in question is Match Point: Tennis Championships from Torus Games. Like the many tennis games that came before it, it’s not very good, but when it comes to games, tennis fans can’t be picky, because there aren’t many options . That’s probably why it was added. That said, even tennis fans might not get much out of the game if its Metacritic scores are any relevant point of reference.

Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are available through PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X for $10 and $15 per month, respectively.
