Things are winding down at the William HG FitzGerald Tennis Center and the crowning of a men’s and women’s champion is just a day away.

For the first semi-final, Australia’s Nick Kyrgios faced Sweden’s Mikael Ymer and won 7-6(4), 6-3. Ymer took the first set while 2019 champion Kyrgios took the second set, although he struggled to pass Ymer’s serve. Kyrgios clinched the third set with a forehand winner to break for a 5-3 advantage.
In the second semi-final, Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka faced Russia’s Andrey Rublev and took the win 6-3, 6-4. Nishioka defeated top seed Rublev in an unexpected finale.

Kyrgios and Nishioka will face off for the Citi Open final on Sunday, August 7 at 5 p.m. ET.
Nishioka will compete for his second ATP singles title against 2019 champion Kyrgios.
