Avenue Tennis Club hosts LTA Grade 3 tournament on August 8


THE Avenue Tennis Club invites spectators to their club week from August 8th when they will host the British Lawn Tennis Associations Burnham Year 3 Tennis at the Sea Tennis Open.

Some of the best players in the county and the country, of all ages, men, women and children, will compete for the trophies in their respective tournaments.

The club will have the bar open serving hot and cold drinks and food throughout the day and coach Vinny Duddy said: “It’s a great day for friends and family to come and enjoy some good tennis. and coffee and cakes.”

“I’m very happy with how the new 2 hour format for Vinny’s Minis was going at the club, which sees two sessions running 6-7 for under 8s and 7-8 for over 8s. years old with some of the older kids doing all 2 hours on a Friday night.”

He also wanted to thank Kay Haines, Sam Goodhew and Hans Hermann Beniscke for running and running the bar and Friday night social side which proved a huge hit with families and fellow club members.

The club is also participating in the LTA initiative to bring more people back or just get them onto the tennis court and have allocated court times for non-members to come and train.
